A fallen sparrow is what I feel right now. A broken wing that doesnt lift me higher but brings me lower and lower down. Sparrows fly with pride, sparrows fly with dignity, sparrows fly grace.
Here I am, pride broken, dignity lost, grace stolen. Have you ever felt like you have a flaw, a flaw that you didnt really want, and its hard for you to change, and once you show it and people see it. That turns out to be the the only weapon for others when they need to pull you down. Its like this poor boy who has this face that irritates people, thus he gets bullied... Its not like he can change his face when he wants to. Even if he undergo plastic surgery, it takes time!
I am always trying to be perfect(open your eyes and you'll see my efforts), though perfection is not within reach, but you can try to be close perfect. During then, I was flying, I had this fresh air in my chest called pride, that made we walk tall trying to ignore the flaw that I have inside or hide it from the outside world. So when someone who already knows the flaw that is inside suddenly brings it up unintentionally, it does hurt you. Kills your pride, brings you down.
Thus, with this flaw, this single flaw, you dont earn any respect? Does dignity have to be flushed down the toilet too?
Anyway, I do believe that everytime when people have problems when they are together, be it talking or any for of civilised activity. It brings forth a new beginning for reconciliation. It takes compromising from both sides. I am ready to compromise. I know what it is like to be in your shoe, I understand what your motives, your feelings, your actions, your behaviour, your character, your background.. I understand you (to a certain extend or at least I try to). I have empathy. But are you ready to fill in my crampy old sneakers?

I had like a sudden jolt of the importance of this year for my life all the sudden a few weeks ago and started rampaging through my books to get in as much as i can for the exams. I didnt want to screw it up this time compared to the average work or maybe below average work done last term.
Besides that, this was the semester examination and it holds a way higher weightage as well. So panicky, I ran pass pages after pages within all the time I had. Do as much questions I could, access to any materials I could obtain and ask teachers and lecturers and tutors how to do so and so, because I think for the whole of the semester, I was pure slacking, I hardly asked anything in tutorials, especially maths. It is not that I am supper good at maths, was because I was doing much enough to dump into questions that I dont understand.
However, lucky for this sudden realisation of the whole scene and some wise words from several people, I manage to get whole of the loops I have creating ever since slacking for the whole half a year and fill it up with useful information. In fact, I realised that I actually wasnt that stupid. I actually could understand the chapters super fast if I did give it some effort. But the lecture style of classes is partly to blame for my bad understanding of the lecture. hahaha, but of course laziness was also to be blamed.
Anyhow, I made it through the exams, barely. It was rather weird for some of the questions and some were rather challenging. But I think it was fair for the amount of work I put in.
I reckon I would put in way more effort this semester and keep on fighting!
Even though I'm on holidays now, its not a time to slack. I got UMAT coming up next. UMAT is Undergraduate Medicine Admissions Test. Its one heck of a crazy test. Testing on EI and IQ and so on. Lots of aspects that are important to any jobs and anyone's well-being.
Anyway, I am working hard for that and yup, I need to do maths, after UMAT is over :D
ok... study freak...
on another note, I went to catch Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Finally a movie in the cinema after a long absence. I am sad to admit that I have not watch a lot of blockbuster movies throughout the year since coming to Australia. "Its a sad sad situation"(Elton John).
Well I thought Harry Potter was sorta OK! maybe 3.5 outta 5? It is a really good adaptation of the book this time as every detail in the book is so important that it had to be in the movie and not sliced off. And Quidditch is back! I think its fun to watch Quidditch as it gives a platform for the CGI effects. Talking bout CGI, I guess since the movie has so much hype, it comes for a bigger budget, so CGI was so much better. However the use of magic in this movie was rather sad, not much fighting, but I know its a climb to the climax in the last movie which is two movies away! ARGHHHH! It does build that hype for the next movie though... And I have to say, at certain scenes they did still have that British movie feeling... You know, the screen play, the way the camera shoots that scene and so on...
Anyway, its worth watching if you have watched the last few movies...

I was recently introduced to KevJumba...(not personally) just know his existence
Here is a little something something about KevJumba
KevJumba
Kevin Wu was inspired to put comedy videos on YouTube by the stand-up performances of Dave Chapelle. He chose the YouTube username KevJumba because his friend used MattJumba as a screenname, and he thought it was funny. Wu chose YouTube because of his lack of resources and an audience. When Wu's "I Have to Deal With Stereotypes" video was featured, his number of viewers began to increase.[4] In this video, Wu says that the three stereotypes he must deal with as an Asian are that he is "cheap", a "nerd", and has "no social life". He tries to prove that he is not cheap by stating that he recently bought a "brand new, top of the line, TI-84 calculator". He acknowledges that this might make him nerdy but dismisses this stereotype because he does not "make all A's...in school today (he) made a B+". He goes on to say he can prove he has a social life because his cell phone rings all the time. At this point, his phone rings, he answers it, and the voice on the other end says, "Hey, why did you tell me to call you?"[5] Wu has collaborated with fellow YouTube comedian Christine Gambito (HappySlip) and has made five videos with her.
As of June, 2009, Wu had more than 537,000 subscribers and more than 17,000,000 views to his channel.[6] His combined video views total to over 56,500,000. On February 26, 2008 the Los Angeles Times compared the web series quarterlife's viewership to Wu's. At the time Wu was a "semi-well known YouTube blogger" and had received 450,000 views for a video describing how he broke his shin. quarterlife, which had been picked up by NBC, had received only 100,000 views on MySpace and 50,000 views on YouTube.[7]
By May 29, 2008, Wu had become one of three Asians under the age of 21 to be in the top five of YouTube's all-time most subscribed users with 187,000 subscribers and more than 5.9 million views.[8] By June 5, 2008 he had become the number one subscribed comedian on YouTube, and third most subscribed uploader overall.[2] Wu's videos have received replies from Jessica Alba and Baron Davis.[9] In 2008, Davis created a "longest stare" contest for ibeatyou.com, a site that he and Alba's husband Cash Warren co-founded. The contest began with Davis challenging Wu, who then challenged Alba.[10][11][12]
JumbaFund
Recently, Kevin Wu began JumbaFund, a YouTube channel dedicated to collecting money for charity. As a partner, Kevin gets money every time someone views his videos. Kevin posts casual videos such as throwing paper airplanes off the Golden Gate Bridge, scaring his floormates, riding his bike in the hallway or even shocking "Jesus". Due to his popularity on his main account, his secondary soon had over 175,000 subscribers. On June 26,2009, days after Michael Jackson's death, he made a video trying to prove he is not the freak the media tried to make him seem like. It hit a soft spot in a lot of people and in 3 days, had over 600,000 views. In May 2009 he donated $1708 dollars to St. Judes Children's Hospital. Christine aka Happyslip soon picked up on the idea and made her secondary, christinegambito into a charity channel too. Kevin Wu said he would like all the YouTube celebrities to do the same.

Looking back at the last few weeks prior to the exams, I think I have been slacking a lot! A lot! And have decided a few weeks ago to buck up and start mugging for the exams, or should I say, become a one off bookworm. There has been some little effort showing and the motivation is ever growing.
But just when I wanted to start this book reading escapade, I find myself trapped in a situation that is holding me back from progressing in "this unusual effort". I must say, it has been doing well, trying to get more and more questions done and trying to fully utilise my time. However, just as this weird sensation of wanting to thrive in the reading sector, I have developed a flu which started last Wednesday, following with a cough on that same Friday, and now, since yesterday, a headache that is killing.
There has been claims that it is swine flu, but relax, I havent seen my so called "flu" spreading around the crowd near me, I mean I am constantly near them, if it really was that infectious, people would be coughing and sniffling in the class and at home. But no signs of that. And another thing is that I attribute it to the cold, I reckon its just a common cold as there is no signs of an actual flu as that can be determined by the colour of the mucus - tranparent is ok, green means you're sick. (sorry if it is too much of a detail, but its general knowledge) Anyway you can guess which colour it is - starts with a T! Plus the mucus is much more watery than usual high viscosity!
Although i have been constantly having this rather dry cough, it doesnt seem to produce phlegm, none at all if i can recall.
And the last but not least, headache had be traced back to the sinus pressure!
In addition, I havent had the worst symptom of swine flu which is fever! And I dont expect to get it.
Hence, it can be concluded that I dont have swine flu. So I should get more gulps of Mother(an energy drink) and try to stay awake and do more WORK!
ps: I cant go for a check up, cannot afford to get quarantined
