The Dragon's Head
Row faster! Hit the Dumbs... Drum RollAfter being crowned Teen DJ Champ... I went to the Crew Club World Championship for Dragonboat. I was there to support my school team and ofcourse SMU, Jaryl - my twin's Team.
I must say, it is a first for me to be at the Teluk Bahang Dam and to watch the Dragonboat competition. It was really hot at the cenue but it was really worth the time and it was fun. I must say the turnout was really good. With many teams from all over the world. And Hell yea they do train hard for the competition. Their muscles might size up to my head. Some poeples biceps where huge like hell! Some were too big they look abnormal... hahaha
The Iranian Women with Tudungs who came in tops
Some teams in action
One of the catagory in playBut anyway, I was there, met up with Jarry and gave him his long awaited gift! HAHAHA. And then its off to scout the area and I must say it was fun... Sometimes you do bump into the weirdest contestants. Though many were well equiped with Oakley Shades, good suits bla bla bla... There were others that wore head scarfs(Tudungs) like the Iranian Women, some wore swimming goggles, and sandles but my my my, it was surprising to see some of them coming tops in their catagory! Shocker!
Jaryl's is white, mine is black
Me and my twin brother - JarylSMU left early but I stayed on to watch the Chung Ling team to enroute to 2 bronze... It was ofcourse a great feat for them in such a huge sporting scene. Dubbed as the Olympics for the Dragonboating community.
I'm from team Seumas
ROW ROW ROW!
Row Row Row your chair... gently down the sand... - with Darrel-The next day. I met up with Jaryl, and there I met Shawn and Kenneth. We went out together with Eric and Ann and later joined by Daniel. I treated them to haagen dazs' fondue.... And later we head off to Gurney Plaza...
Me, Jaryl and Daniel went off to catch a movie while Shaun and Kenneth head to starbucks and Eric-Ann went to Pragin. We watched the Mummy and here is my review:
Overall, it wasnt as serious as the previous two as it was less serious and much funnier. Kinda raw if you want to me to comment. I thought there would be huge fighting scene, but I was dissappointed. And if you think you will catch much of Michelle Yeoh in action, fighting Jet Li, you're in for a great fall. But there are some parts of the show where there were scenes from the Asia epic movies. It looked like a East meets West movie..... oh, it actually is!
After that, I said my goodbyes to Jaryl and might meet him up in Singapore this year end or next year... hopefully....
And that sums up my wonderFULL weekend
CAMWHORING WITH JARYL!
