As the books by
Darren Shan starts to spread through the school, passing from hands to hands and ending up in the hands of most of the readers, who actually read, in school, while others still have their hands on
John Grisham and the-so-last-year's
Mitch Albom and to the boring
Sidney Sheldon! People holding popular books... wow...
Dont you think its weird that most of the book has this phrase printed on its cover
"No.1 Best Seller" or
" 'How Many' Million Copies Sold"? It has turned cliche! But its a genius pulling method.
Staying in those genres is kinda ok for us teenage people, fantasy still wows us, but I like the descriptiion part, as they need a strong vocabulary to help you imagine the event, drama - what is life if there arent any - but I for one has started growing out of it. And yesterday when my hands held a genre which I pretty adore, ever since I started off with books like "Tuesday With Morrie", " Gone with the Wild". People were thinking I'm nuts. I was indulging myself with
Dale Carnegie.
His books are just so
je nais sais quoi. I mean it is honest and true. Not to look at it as a self help books but as a book you can personally relate to. It gets you a step closer into knowing yoruself, how to avoid mistakes, and make you realise the little things that you never even spare a thought for by allowing to learn through other peoples life.
Even teachers a like did not forget to comment on the reading material. They were impressed and say this is the book people should be reading. :D
Continue with " How to Stop Worrying and Start Living - Dale Carnegie"
Although this book has been written ages ago, it still appeals to people in this vast era! And from his books, you can tell how much time and effort he has put in into getting sources and materials to sum up everything fopr the benefit of you. I tell you, you should start by getting one of his books and experience it yourself. Go!
