Today is the third day of chinese new year, but it is just the beginning, what is about to happen is yet unknown. but then again the past two days has came and gone and it was really good. Both unique in their own way.
The first day was spent going to houses of my relatives, getting ang pow, and ofcourse spending time with family. By night fall, it is time to party, with buffet dinner with family and friends, what can get any better.
When the dinner table slowly clears up, the gambling begins, chinese believe that gambling on new years is to test your luck for the rest of the year. But my gambling count till now is still zero, havent got the heat of gambling.
On the second day, tradition has it that the family will visit the mum side of the family, but too bad, i already did, on the first day, as this year we didnt visit dad's side as he went off to Australia with my sister. But he will be back soon. Anyway, since nobody came and it was already 2pm, I finally went with my plan to go to Pavillion. Called up my friend, see if he is free, and zoom, we went off. At first we were thinking that Pavillion is a little too far, so wanted to opt for 1U. But he knew there wasnt where I wanna go. And luckily the normally conjested roads into the city were on our side. We had clear roads. Most of the people here would find this a rare site, including my friend.
Arrived in the city, head down to Bintang Walk and up to Pavillion. First we planned to walk around and then maybe get donuts from J.Co or Big Apple(which was relocating), But ripped that idea, as the que was long. The mall was just fab, the brands were great. good brands, international brands... woot woot. sure was shopping paradise. The only thing was, that malls like these require my parents around to be my credit card. hahahaha... too bad
We head to the cinema, and got tickets for CJ7, though I seldom watch any canto or chinese movie, it was like the only one, as the new ones are both Asian, the other being Kung Fu Dunk.
Bought tickets, we went to walk around. Walked into various shops, and landed in Fossil, were I help my friend pick out a watch, he was wanting a watch for some time now. Looked high and low, until I saw one, which the price was insanely good, and it was the classic Fossil watch, big with leather strap. But then came the hesitation. We had enough cash, but not on hand, in the ATM. So we went of, walked around more and think and think and think, even discussed.
But I think it was darn worth it, if he didnt get it, I would have. Talked him into buying it, and eventually, we went to get money, and cash that watch in. Woooo, why am I so happy, hahah, coz I got to pick out a watch for someone lah. But looking at his happy face, glancing at his watch was time to time, was funny but still worthwhile.
After that we head back to the cinema and enjoyed our movie, it was relatively ok, though someetimes I might think they over promoted the show, but ok, it was worth the one and a half hours.
After the movies were over, we went to have dinner, it was just the right time. Went to Kampachi to have Japanese.. The atmosphere was great, the interior was nicely done. That is part of what makes Pavillion so nice, every store has its concept and the interior is all very individual and nice.
AFter dinner, we were too full, no more desert I guess. So off we went on the way home, joked around, acting nuts and snapping heaps of photos...
At the end of the day, I got home safely and overall had a very very good time, honestly... :D
