Before the exams, I had to study but whenever I pick up the books, all I can think of is "After this is the holidays, what should I do?"... It was simple, going out, shopping, hanging with friends, sleeping, playing the Play Station, Blogging and more Outings!.... etc.
Seems like everything didnt go out as planned.. For this sad ONE WEEK holiday (3 more days remaining), I've been only wasting away...
The only thing I've done that is productive might be cleaning out my room! God, I didnt know I had some many books and papers I had in there. Someone could have died beneath the pile of books! It took me a few hours to really sort out everything! Now, my room LOOKS clean! But is it really clean? My drawers are just messy as I just hid most of the the stuff into the drawers.
I only had one outing to date, can't wait for the next one. It went out on the first day of holiday. To Queensbay mall (Penang's Longest Mall - I might break my legs one day while walking from one end to the other), which I always have a problem trying to get there and back! Its just too far!
I tried desperately searching for transport but was always left in vain! Finally I came to my last resort which was thinking the PUBLIC TRANSPORT. Only this month(August 07), the new bus system was introduced, Rapid Penang. So I thought why not give it a go. I think the times I've been on a public bus is less than the total fingers I have on ONE hand.
I was all set to leave the house about 11.30am and headed off to the nearest bus stop. I sat there looking at the passing cars... In a jiffy, a bus passed the opposite lane, so I just needed it to make another round or something.
Who knew his route was insanely long, I was sitting ducks for nearly 20 minutes before opting to another bus stop. It was then I got a bus in only 5 minutes or I'll have sued them!
It was not really very fast nor slow(moderate)... so we arrived at the Hub where the transit to the next bus is (I spent time studying the Route and everything... oOo). It was like a burning hell pot there, the sun was glaring and I was going to be barbeque lunch for someone!
After having my friends calling, asking me if I was coming, I started being annoyed by the whole system. It has been a 40 minutes wait. Finally Bus 307 arrived! And to add the bitterness, two of them at the same time... HOW STUPID!
I paid my fare which was worth the cleaniness and the cool air of the bus... But the chairs are seriously uncomfortable, those cheap palstic chairs, and there isnt enough leg space too!
So off the bus sped off to my destination, IT WAS DARN SLOW. He had to stop so many times.... So a journey that could have been 30 minutes turned out to be a 1 hour and 15 minutes journey!
Talk about being late, I had to skip lunch and off we(Me, Ashley, Charis, Alan, Jia Yi and Cher Yi) to the movies... thank God Charis was even later than me... hahaha
So the outing was still fun after all, worth all that stupid bus expirience!
I got back by sharing a cab with another friend to Gurney Plaza(still the best mall in Penang) and hang around a bit and left on foot back home!
So the rest of the holidays was spent, with my usual acts of slacking, sleeping, playing the Play Station(which lasted for a while as my dad kept it because of my sister's big exam), eating, chatting, TV and going out to church convention.
Update you guys bout the wonderful church converntion next time!
ps: A lot of outings were turned down as they were in Queensbay! I wouldn't wanna travel on the public bus so often
