It was only last weekend(19/1/07-21/1/07) that I had been to KL just for my cousin's wedding. After the traditions of weddings where ther groom fetches the bride home and so on(you know the rest)...
It was after the wedding did we( me, my dad, sis, and cousins) decided to go to town and do some shopping. It wasnt that fun when it came to an end where hands went black!
It started to rain heavily as we went to IKEA, where my dad wanted to buy something for the house. While he is doing his shopping, we will be going to the Curve to do ours. In the journey, we felt that the car wasnt right and it was as though someone really fat was sitting at the corner, forcing the car to lose its balance. The journey wasnt only slow, but it was "horrifying". It was only my dad's first time in that car, my cousin's car. And he had to watch her back, making her feel pressured! Since it was raining heavily, we moved at a really slow speed, looking at all the signs(you know the KL region has bad roads that make you go crazy!). Step by step it moved and there was a sudden brake but the car still slid a bit due to the balancing. It was about to kiss the car in front of it which was making a corner!! Screams from the girls could be heard from the corners of my ears! Some of the sound wave event went directly into the ear drum!
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHBut it was just a false alarm! Luckily, nothing happened. After a few turns and U-weees, we finally arrived at Ikano Power Centre where IKEA is and left my dad there to shop while we take the linking bridge to the Curve.
It was packed, PACKED! With people eating at the wonderful restaurants and people snooping around the bazaar which only opens during the weekends! The open air bazaar still had customers although it was still raining, not that heavy anymore.
But that’s not the story....
This is:
After the Hour ended, it was time to leave the place. On the way out, partial of the car couldnt get pass the speed hump. But after a few tries, it moved right pass it! Thank God. But not yet, troubles weren’t over at that moment. By that time, we had a flat tyre!
We drove to the nearest petrol station which wasnt the nearest, why, because it was far...LAME! The people working there didnt bother to help us. My father open his big mouth,"Wah, first time in your car and I have to help you change tyre?? HAHAHA!...Now, now, you(me), young boy will have to learn how to change a flat tyre. Go change"
I used about half an hour to change the flat tyre. Fill it with air and got grease all over my hands! The other cousins(girls) watch and eat while I work!!! Hmmpphhh, but a man gotta do what a man gotta do. So the work continues and soon ends with me trying really hard to wash the grease off with lots and lots of soap! But I didnt have to lower the car, luckily one of the girls said that she wanted to learn and have a lil of the experience. Now that is what I call awesome!
After the cleaning, we zoom back off for dinner at by the time we arrived back, it was 10.15 and people who came to the dinner to visit the newly weds all heard our story. The night never ends, as the ambience of the house was sky high.
I guess, it's not such a nice job but the experience is really needed by one! No matter if it is a guy or a girl.
On top of that, the driver doesn’t really have to treat me to something. It was all in the day's work.
