Just bought some stuff and is now sitting down at the exact shop blogging. I'm now in a foreign land which is having their Great Sale(not that great to me)..... I'm now sitting in Top Man along Orchard Road, Singapore.
Before coming to Singapore, I've been shopping excessively in 1Utama and Midvalley back in KL, Malaysia. Back there I got a few neat stuff. It was really easy to get something once you laid eyes on it.
Days later, I arrive in Singapore, which has a new shopping experience. Its all the BRANDS. There are countless Burberry, LV, Dior, Jimmy Choo, Gucci, Prada, Fendi, Feragormo, Ralph Lauren, Hugo Boss... shops all around Orchard road. Especially the Takashimaya Emporium! Its just vogue! I cant believe I'm at such close proximity to such wonderful brands.
The weird thing that I've never seen before is the way people actually line up in a row just to do some window shopping in Louis Vitton. Althought there are much sales here, I can tell 100% they are still so expensive compared to when UK is having sales... Its just a pain looking at the price and having to think of the rate and actually thinking more than twice what the actual price is in RM.
Sometimes you'll "bump" into the items you bought back home, and compare the price... I'm quite happy to say that with discounts, the price of the thing back home is way cheaper. Even without discount it might only be a few bucks away... YAY!
When you're here, what I use to call good brands some how seem cheap here. Like Guess(this one is for sure, most girls carry LVs), i don't see much people wearing them or looking at the shop. Most of them have Burberry, LV, Ralph Lauren.... Its just like different worlds.
But yet its still is a paradise to SHOPAHOLICS, but when you have lil money, the game ISNT fun! I hate currency rates. Its not fair that my currency back home is lower! But I'm glad there are still stores that make this Sales great again. making prices drop a lot lower, making you really spend time at the shop.
With a few pieces of clothes, I'm still happy.. Its not about the shopping environment, to me, IT IS GETTING NEW STUFF!
By the way, I'm going off soon, don't want to tag this computer too long and sitting in the middle of the store using the computer... off i go!
PS: to that certain someone who is standing behind me, reading what I'm typing, thanks for reading it.. and to be honest, my face is really getting red... I dont get shy normally, but this is just a weird sensation
